Club Etiquette

Covid Guidelines

Please be advised that all members and guests of the Griffis Faculty Club are required to be vaccinated in order to use club amenities. 

Dress Code

Business Attire must be worn by all members and guests entering and assembling in the Club and during all events attended. Please observe the following:

FOR MEN –- Business Casual Attire: Dress Slacks, Suit Pants, Dress Shirts with collar. Suit or Sport Jackets are encouraged, but not required. Dress Shoes, Loafers.

FOR WOMEN -– Business Casual Attire: Dress Slacks, Suit Pants, Business Dresses or Skirts (length should be at or below knee level), Dress Shoes, Flats.

Inappropriate Attire

Includes but is not limited to: surgical or scrub outfits, denim (jeans and jackets), shorts, tee shirts (tank tops, halter tops, crop tops), sandals (beach sandals, Birkenstocks, flip flops), athletic wear of any kind (sweatshirts, rugby shirts, sweatpants, leggings, jogging suits, spandex, lycra, athletic shoes or sneakers, caps), torn clothing (clothing with holes or frayed ends), clothing with offensive or profane language.

Cellular Phone and Laptop Usage

Cellular phone use is restricted to the Bar area, the Private Dining Room, or outside the Club. Respectable voice levels are expected when using mobile devices within the Club. Laptops and texting by cellular phones are permitted so long as they are silenced.

Outside Food and Beverages

No food or drink may be brought in from the outside for consumption inside the Club.

Smoking

Enforced by New York State Law, smoking is strictly prohibited anywhere in the Club.

Coat Check

The Club cannot be responsible for articles left in the checkroom or in other areas of the Club left unattended. The checkroom is not intended for the long-term storage of articles.
